At ICON we provide robust and validated burden of illness and chronic disease models.  These models characterise the trajectory of a disease at either the individual or societal level, and are designed based on study objectives and outcomes of interest. Our model construction is based upon the estimates of incidence, prevalence, morbidity, mortality, resource use and treatment safety and efficacy. We incorporate iterative validation procedures to ensure that our model outputs accurately reflect the clinical picture and have high face validity.

Modelling strategies can be used to inform estimations of:

  • Burden of illness
    • Societal
    • Individual/humanistic
    • Economic
  • Risk-benefit Modelling
  • Infectious disease research (including transmission modelling)
